Well, summer of 2018 has been a real bust in Florida for surfing. Only 7 days of surfing in 3 months (a new record). And those days were small to boot. September is the peak of tropical storm/hurricane season so we might start to get some swells. Enjoy the 12 minute video of highlights (aka lowlights). For some reason, this video preview for this link does not work. Go to (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stHDcnrzIik&t=9s)
Not a lot of wave action in February & March. Plus, I was trekking in Nepal for 16 days of March. At any rate, enjoy this recap.
January was a month of alternating days of big waves and choppy conditions. Managed some go rides and wipeouts. In mid month I experimented with putting the camera on the paddle (PPOV), Also went out at Shell Beach a couple of time. Enjoy this recap.
The historical lack of waves on the central coast continued through September. Also, ventured down to Florida for a week (where the waves were actually better). Here are the highlights from the days that had rideable waves. Enjoy.
There was a lot of fog and not much in waves this August. Also, spent a week in Yosemite and one in Florida which cut back on time in ocean. Here are 15 mins of highlights. Around midpoint is a wake surfing session. Also included are some shots from the annual Oceano Classic surf contest. Enjoy.
With traveling and days on end of small waves and heavy gloom, did not get in as much SUP action in June that I would have preferred. Here is a 16 minute clip of the highlights. Enjoy.
