Paddleboard House – Indialanitc, FL

On my last trip to Florida to visit family and friends and to surf, I stopped at the Longboard House in Indialantic, Florida.  They just opened up the Paddleboard House.  It is located just south of their main facility at the corner of 192 and AIA.

They have a fantastic selection of SUP boards, paddles and equipment.  Naish, Starboard, Surftech, Werner, just to name a few.

Ryan is the General Manager and a great guy to get to know if you what to SUP in central Florida.  They also have a good selection of rentals and do demos and lessons.

No Waves, No Problem!

Returned home from FLorida to find a very flat ocean with no waves whatsoever.  Russell and I decided to load up the big guns and paddle from the Old Port in Avila to Shell Beach.

The weather could not have been better and the water was extremely smooth and clear.  Russell about fell off his board when a seal jumped up out of the water a mere couple of yards from his board.  Nice save though.

We paddled under the Cal Poly Pier and around the Avila Pier.  Past Private’s Cove and Bird Rock.  Had to avoid large kelp farms.
